Our Mission

Conservative Hispanas in Action is on a mission to recruit, support, and elect conservative Latina candidates to public office across Texas. Conservative Hispanas: A force in our families. A force in business. A force in our communities. A force at the ballot box!

Strategies

Endorse qualified Latina candidates

We want to get behind the best and brightest Republican Latina candidates in Texas and help promote them with our network of conservative women and voters in Texas. Collectively, our board members have a list of close to five thousand contacts that we will bring into our network to promote our candidates. We will highlight the candidates, their stories and platforms and provide resources needed for them to win. Our selection process will include phone interviews, race analysis and CHA board vote (this will be based on a majority vote).

Mentor Latina candidates

Our organization is uniquely suited to offer something missing in the current marketplace of organizations – female candidate mentorship. We have experienced and known Latina candidates, grassroots activities and consultants willing to volunteer their time and offer mentorship and guidance to our endorsed ladies. Running for office is hard and it is especially hard for women – we have few mentors. CHA board members have the experience and expertise to offer that extra support and knowledge needed to make sure our candidates stay the course. Plus extend the emotional support and guidance candidates need at times, with the bonus of the cultural awareness our board has since we are all Latina women ready to serve Latina women. We will be there for them before and after the election to assist them to be successful in their role or in future runs.

In the 2023 cycle we want to work closely with other organizations to help recruit candidates and support in training – especially for the municipal races. Each board member will be assigned several candidates that they will personally mentor and help throughout the election cycle.

Support Latina candidates financially

We want to support our endorsed candidates financially and/or with in-kind contributions. For in-kind contributions, we would host meet and greets for them, appear as special guests for their events, make calls, send joint fundraising emails, and spend on digital promotion of our endorsed candidates.
